[Submission of Proposal]<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I. Master\u2019s students who want to apply for the oral defense in the first semester of the academic year 2023 shall upload the thesis \u201cProposal\u201d signed by their respective advisor (hardcopy not required) on the specified webpage. Notes:<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) The upload webpage is open from September<\/strong> 2, 2023 (Mon.) to September<\/strong><\/span><\/strong> 16, 2023 (Mon.)<\/span><\/strong> (Students shall fully prepare the files by themselves before the above-mentioned open period to facilitate the upload procedures).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) File name: \u201c113-1+Student_Proposal (Name of the Advisor).\u201d Example: 113-1 Chen, XX_Proposal (Professor Fang, Chiung-Yao)

(4) File format: Please upload the files in pdf format (students shall combine a proposal cove<\/span>r signed by his\/her advisor<\/span> and the other required files into one pdf file to be uploaded).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

II. Please also confirm whether you have completed the \u201cAcademic Research Ethics Education<\/a>\u201d course online.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

III. For the reference format of the proposal, please visit the \u201cCourses\/Master\u2019s Program\/Files\/Graduation\u201d of the Department\u2019s official site (https:\/\/www.csie.ntnu.edu.tw\/index.php\/course_ms\/download\/<\/a>) to download the template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Steps for Review of Credits]<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Master\u2019s students applying for the thesis oral defense in the second semester of the academic year 2022 (i.e., those who have uploaded the proposal according to [Submission of Proposal]<\/span><\/strong>, or those who have passed the oral defense and are scheduled to undergo the procedures of graduation in this Semester) shall submit an application to the system before 5:00 p.m. on November<\/strong> 29, 2023 (FRI.)<\/span><\/strong> and deliver the following file to the Department Administrative Office to facilitate the review of graduation credits (those who have passed the oral defense are exempted from submitting the files specified in the following Items 1-9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) Degree Examination Application Form (Not required for filling in, the thesis examination system will automatically generate it) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) Declaration of Academic Integrity<\/strong>(Not required for filling in, the thesis examination system will automatically generate it).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) Course Table<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(4) List of selected courses for the first semester of the academic year 2023 (the list is not required to be signed by the advisor<\/strong> but by the student who selected the courses; those who do not take any courses are not required to submit it<\/strong>)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(5) Chinese Transcript covering all the courses taken (please attach the version printed by the University<\/strong><\/span>, not the one from the course selection system)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(6) One copy of the report on the originality of the thesis generated by the online plagiarism system (Please upload the draft to the plagiarism inspection system for comparison to generate the originality report of the thesis.)
the Department Administrative Office will take the initiative to add the list of classmates to the system, and online operation will be available once receiving the mail sent by the system. The comparison report generated shall be signed by the advisor anywhere on the cover<\/span><\/strong>. To save paper consumption, please print the report on both sides<\/strong>, or only print the content of the cover and the section showing the percentage upon the consent of the advisor<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(7) Abstract of the thesis (generally, 300 words in Chinese or English)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(8) One copy of the certificate for completion of courses in \u201cAcademic Research Ethics Education\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(9) Those who have already passed the graduation threshold of English competency may submit the certificate simultaneously <\/span><\/strong>but shall at the latest submit it before completing the graduation procedures (those who have passed the English test or the online English grammar courses of the University are exempt from submitting the supporting document <\/span><\/strong>since the Department Administrative Office will check the results online).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Steps for the Thesis Examination]<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Application documents<\/span> (the documents required for this step are recommended to be submitted two weeks before the date of the oral defense, so that the Department Administrative Office can prepare the electronic appointment letter and forms for related fees, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) Oral Defense Committee List (one copy, and required to log in to the system for filling in the data).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) Letter of recommendation from the advisor for the oral defense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Poster for the oral defense<\/span> (to be prepared by the candidates themselves, and it is recommended to post it no later than one day before the date of the oral defense).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Score form<\/span> (submitted by the candidate or the advisor to the Department Administrative Office after the oral defense, which is not required to be submitted on the same day of the oral defense).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) Thesis Approval Form (Two copies shall be printed, both of which are to be signed by the oral defense committee members).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) Exam Record<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) Average score table (one copy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(4) Thesis grading sheet (one copy for each oral defense committee member).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Oral Exam Record<\/span> (after the oral defense)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
